P4SY is an accelerator programme supporting up to 30 companies in the South Yorkshire region focusing on bringing UK health and medtech companies to market, and promoting them to achieve key milestones in order to reach investment.
P4 is a strongly established and successful accelerator programme which supports leading precision medicine startups. P4 aids development and scale of companies across the UK and internationally. P4 supports startups based on ‘the four Ps’: predictive, preventative, participatory and precision.
P4SY is a new programme, launched in January 2022, created to support and scale health and medtech companies in South Yorkshire. Over three months, P4SY will host sessions to support startups and encourage their engagement with the NHS and regional local health systems. Participants will additionally gain an expert mentor to help them build a network and develop collaborations and partnerships in the region and beyond.
Participants will have the opportunity to connect with the P4 network, a combination of previous cohort members and decision makers as well as industry partners. Notable alumni of the P4 programme include Motilent and LifeBit, who recently secured a $60mil raise with TigerGlobal.

Nathan McNally

Nathan has worked and led multimillion-pound initiatives supporting tech entrepreneurs for the last 10 years. Nathan is now Health and Life Science Director at Capital Enterprise and Co-Founder of P4 Precision Medicine Accelerator, creating a more coherent, connected pathway for AI enabled precision medicine companies by bringing together the key stakeholders and decision makers that will improve precision medicine adoption and more importantly improve patients’ lives.

Philippa has 20 years’ experience of working in business growth, economic development and inward investment, leading multi-stakeholder programmes to catalyse and commercialise technology innovation working with the AHSN Network, NHS England, and the NIHR. Philippa has joined TEAM SY as P4SY Programme Manager & MedTech Connector to build strategic relationships between P4SY companies and the South Yorkshire medtech ecosystem to stimulate economic growth and knowledge exchange to accelerate adoption of precision medicine for patient benefit.
